The V-shape magnetic prisms are employed for grinding and electric discharge jobs as well as useful helpers in metrology rooms when round and complex workpieces are to be safety and precisely clamped.

The four ferrous clamping surfaces can be easily switched on and off through the switches. This makes the placement of magnetic prisms quick and easy. They are available as match-ground pairs.

The permanent magnet system is moved inside when it is switched on and off, e.g. by operating a lever. It consists of a pole plate and a magnet body. When switched off, the pole plate is not exactly congruent with the magnet body, which leads to a magnetic short circuit (Figure 1). When switched on, the pole plate is congruent with the magnet body and the magnetic circuit can only be closed via the workpiece (see Figure 2).

If you review a price comparison, it is important for you, to analyze the clamping force of the chuck, because not the size of the chuck is important for the clamping force but the numbers of the poles are crucial for the clamping force of the magnetic chuck. It can mean that you will have bigger price differences by the same size of the magnetic chucks.
